Sushi Naru Pho: Reviews & Ratings

Hit this Asian fusion spot for a dinner and went straight for the Malatang. You grab a bowl, pile in whatever you want from the bar, and they weigh it, cook it, dunk it in broth. Mine clocked in at $17 for about a pound; the Sichuan broth had legit ma-la tingle, floral peppercorn buzz without scorching your soul. Everything came out piping hot, perfectly timed. Dry pot was the star: same pick-your-ingredients setup, but stir-fried with chili oil, garlic and etc. Chicken stayed juicy, potatoes soaked up the sauce, wood ears added that satisfying snap. Hibachi chicken plate kept it simple but nailed the basics: tender thigh meat, crisp-tender veggies, glossy soy-garlic glaze, and a mound of fried rice that actually tasted like it saw a wok. No complaints. Prices run by the pound, so it’s on you to not go full Viking at the ingredient station. Service was on point: staff explained the weigh-and-cook system without hovering. Place was busy but not chaotic; vibe is clean, modern, zero attitude. Spotted pho on the menu and I’m already plotting the return. Next time I’ll weigh my bowl like I’m smuggling diamonds.

Went there with my boyfriend and the food was amazing. The atmosphere and people were super nice. The price was reasonable. I recommend the pho at their place, soup tasted savory and light. Their sushi is fresh and delicious. But the boba was the best part, I ordered the three bros milk tea, the boba is soft and chewy, gave me lots of toppings in my drink. Super satisfied. Would definitely come back again.

Beef pho and crispy veggie rolls were both good. Ingredients were fresh. Good service, plenty of tables, plenty of parking. Interested to try the hot pot and sushi next time.

I'm ecstatic that we finally have a Mala xiang guo/spicy stir fry dry pot in the Charlotte area! I moved to CLT from Flushing NYC, where mala spicy dry pot is very popular, and I have been looking for this for the past year and a half since I've been here. I went to Sushi Naru twice this week for the spicy dry pot, and it did not disappoint. They also have a good selection of bubble teas. Staff are also very friendly and helpful . I'll be back again soon.

Visited this restaurant 5 times in a month. Loved the fried chicken and the avocado smoothie with boba. My kids loved the chicken fries. The Mala dish and Habachi chicken were delicious. Friendly staff. Will return again.

The food here is delicious, and there's a wide variety to choose from. The Mala stir fry is my personal favorite especially when coupled with a fruit tea. The staff is very friendly and happy to go over the menu. The restaurant is clean and spacious with plenty of seating. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great meal.

So I been here before the renovation and this is my first time coming after they have finished. The place turned out for the better in my opinion. Much needed if you say. The small walls that they put up between tables let people eat in private and to enjoy their food in comfort. They also added more on their menu and to my surprise their quality has been pretty consistent. Their prices are also affordable and they do have premium dishes available as well. So I came by for lunch and got their good old hibachi chicken and wow is this the best one I tasted in a very long time. I also ordered their fruit teas and it was good in my opinion. I do not have a favorite place when it comes to bubble tea and milk teas because they all taste pretty similar. I think what stands out most with those places is the new variety of flavor and mixes that they offer but if the quality stays consistent this place passes in my book. As an Asian American I would recommend this place to anybody. If this place was in a better location it will be swamp with customers so I decided to leave a review for everybody to see to help promote their business. Stop by for lunch or anytime during the day. They offer friendly service quality food at competitive prices and it’s definitely better than making fast food chains as your comfort food.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Sushi Naru Pho, and I can honestly say it's a fantastic addition to the local dining scene. As a new self-serve business, they truly showcase great potential with their innovative approach. The staff is incredibly kind and welcoming, making every visit a pleasant experience. The customer service is exceptional, Shenice and Ace, in particular I had gotten to meet, were incredibly kind and welcoming. They made me feel right at home during my first visit, which was a wonderful touch. The food is consistently delicious and freshly prepared, which really stands out. From flavorful sushi to tasty pho, everything is made with care and quality ingredients. I highly recommend Sushi Naru Pho to anyone looking for great food combined with exceptional customer service. I look forward to seeing how they grow and thrive in the future!

Nestled in the heart of Charlotte at 8943 S Tryon St, Sushi Naru Pho offers an enticing blend of Asian flavors that promises to captivate any food lover. This vibrant spot specializes in Asian fusion dishes that range from fresh sushi and aromatic pho to the fiery boldness of Malatang and Mala Xiang Guo, a spicy stir-fry dry pot that fans of Sichuan cuisine will immediately recognize and appreciate.

What stands out at Sushi Naru Pho is their unique weigh-and-cook system. Guests load up a bowl with their choice of ingredients from a well-stocked bar. The bowl is then weighed, stir-fried or cooked in a customized broth, and served piping hot. This interactive approach not only empowers diners to tailor their meal but ensures every dish bursts with freshly cooked flavors. The Malatang, noted by many for its authentic Sichuan broth, delivers a perfect balance of floral peppercorn heat—intense but not overwhelming.

The dry pot stir-fry is another highlight, fusing chili oil, garlic, and fresh ingredients in a sizzling embrace that leaves chicken succulent, potatoes rich with sauce, and wood ear mushrooms delightfully crisp. For those who prefer simpler fare, the hibachi chicken plate nails the essentials with tender meat, stir-fried vegetables, and wok-fired fried rice glazed with soy and garlic – humble yet deeply satisfying.

Sushi Naru Pho doesn’t just stop at hot dishes. Their sushi is consistently fresh, offering well-crafted rolls that complement the broader menu. The pho here delivers a savory and light broth that’s both comforting and flavorful, as customers frequently praise. And for a refreshing finish, the bubble teas, especially the three bros milk tea with soft, chewy boba and generous toppings, add a playful, sweet touch that rounds out the meal beautifully.

What further elevates the experience is the attentive and friendly service. Staff guide new patrons through the ordering process with clear, non-intrusive explanations, ensuring the bustling yet clean and modern space remains inviting and calm. Parking and ample seating ease the dining experience, allowing guests to focus on the evolving layers of taste before them.

In sum, Sushi Naru Pho feels like a well-rounded culinary haven where personal choice meets authentic execution. Whether you’re craving the fiery thrill of mala dishes, the soothing embrace of pho, the fresh crispness of sushi, or a bubble tea to sweeten the palate, this Charlotte gem delivers with clarity and heart. It’s a spot I find myself eager to return to—not just for the food, but for the vibrant, welcoming atmosphere that makes every visit memorable.
